The first NatureGalleries catalogue! Contains  60+ artworks from those who submitted work to the 2024 Rewilding Art Prize.
 
The ‘Rewilding’ Art Prize was founded by artist Libby Mitchell and celebrates its inaugural exhibition at the Inverness Botanical Gardens in 2024 with the exhibition running from 1st July - 31st August.
 
This years prize showcases the exceptional artwork of both established and first time exhibiting artists from around Scotland and the Highlands. Artists were asked to submit 2D work with an emphasis on environmental awareness and conservation of Scotland’s Flora & Fauna. Along with their work, participants were encouraged to submit a short description with their piece on how it is connected to the theme ‘Rewilding’.
 
The small prize pool with the help of sponsorship, offers the winner of 1st place a cash prize of £250.00 and 2nd place of £150.00, to be used towards developing a sustainable practice as an artist - either towards workshops on learning the process of making environmentally-friendly art materials or reading materials.
 
In particular, the judges will award prizes for work which displays creativity, originality and relation to the theme ‘Rewilding’.
 
The catalogue contains images of the artworks, including those that did not make it into the physical exhibition, and the informative descriptions of each piece, dimensions and details on how to contact the artist.
